Fake Chik'n Pot Pie

Sometimes certain foods kinda linger heavily in your brain. When I was a kid my mom used to hoard boxes of chicken pot pie  in the freezer.  I remember loving the pie tin and picking out the weird cubes of chicken meat and eating them  first.  But honestly the best part was the crust! Sadly I am no pastry chef. Shit I seriously only baked a cake from scratch last year. But I do know how to make shit taste good.!

So here's a fool proof, super easy and super delicious recipe for an old favorite! Don't fret pets any ol' schmo can make it AND it doesn't take too terribly long to make! Also this recipe can be altered slightly and become a peach cobbler! But that's another day!

Here's your prize winning Pot Pie filling team rightchear!

1 rib celery

1 carrot

2 cloves of garlic

1 onion (I chose red only cause my M-I-L grows 'em and we always gots em!)

Some veggie bouillon -use whatever brand you are already using.

Veggie gravy granules!I used the supermarket brand cause surprisingly it didn't have any weird stuff in it!

And a bag of fake chik'n.

So here's the plan stan. You cook up all that yummy ass garlic and onion 'til its good and soft with a teaspoon of veggie stock powder! Whoa nelly! I like using stock instead of salt most days! It's tasty!

Then add the carrots and celery! Let me tell ya! That stuff takes about 6 hunderd years to soften! 6 HUNDERD!

Now,after them carrots and celeries have gone a bit soft you can add our best friend FAKE CHIK'N!
So the moment you have all been waiting for! THE GRAVY! You are gonna add as much gravy as you want. I just use the instructions on the box for one serving of gravy!

Now let's let that pretty little thing chill out with a lid on it!
While that settles down let's make our crust! (P.S. Pre-heat that oven while your doing all this cookin' 190 c / 350f)
Now these are your crust makin' friends!
1cup self rising/raising flour
1 cups milk ( I use soy cause this gal cain't drink the real stuff)
8 tbsp mayo regular or vegan  ( I actually use whatever big spoon I gots in the drawer!)
Mix all stuff together and it should look like that down there!

Now is the moment of truth! Putting all this goodness together. I use these ramekin thingies cause I like the idea of personal chik pot pies, but you can use a casserole dish.

Now put the puppies in the oven.
You know that it's ready when it's golden brown!

Shitfire son! You just made yourself a fine, fine meal! I hope you got friends 'cause you are gonna want to share.
